The
Friends of New Milton Health Centre
The Friends of NMHC is an independent
voluntary organisation whose purpose is to provide activities and
raise funds for the benefit of the patients of the Surgery. The
"Friends" support the Practice through fundraising, facilitation of
new resources and practical assistance such as help with the annual
"flu" clinic.
Amongst the regular activities the "Friends" organise are coffee
afternoons in the Surgery's Health Education Room and fundraising
events. Futures events are publicised on the "Friends" notice board
in the reception area of the Surgery and in local press.
All activities take place in the spirit of the watchwords "fun,
friendship and fundraising" and there is a real sense or working in
partnership with the Surgery and its staff to promote the welfare of
patients.
If you would like to learn more about the "Friends" contact numbers
are available on the notice board at the surgery. You can also write
to them c/o the Health Centre.
Members can be as involved in the group as they want to be. Many
members attend the social and fund raising events but don't get
involved with the organising done by the committee.
